FORT COLLINS, Colorado – August 22nd, 2019 – Cigna has selected Forney Industries as a winner of the annual Cigna Well-Being Award for demonstrating a strong commitment to improving the health and well-being of its employees through workplace wellness programs.
Forney Industries was selected as Cigna’s Outstanding Well-Being Award Winner for their robust program offerings and devotion to full-body health. They have created an environment that prioritizes overall well-being with organized 15-minute walks during the workday to encourage physical health, fun morale events to promote social well-being, “open-door” policies and a dog-friendly atmosphere that cultivates mental health. Forney Industries offers several employee-ran organizations dedicated to the promotion of health. These organizations include a Morale Committee, Forney FIT and the Forney Safety Team. Forney Industries expands their reach beyond the workplace and into the community by participating in street clean-up efforts, natural disaster relief and donating equipment to local high schools and trade schools. Leadership and management staff relentlessly strive to maintain an atmosphere that promotes full-body well-being, which has fostered a culture of high morale and retention.

Cigna Well-Being Award applicants are evaluated based on the core components of their wellness program, including goals, implementation, incentives, leadership engagement and employee participation. All applications are reviewed and judged by a multi-departmental Cigna selection committee.
