Forney® E7018-1 H4R low hydrogen, moisture resistant steel electrodes for joining and repairing boiler plate, pipe steels, ship building steels, and cast steels. Excellent for weathering steels such as Corten. E7018-1 H4R is extremely smooth with spatter and turbulence free arc transfer. The coating is totally non-conductive. The electrodes have unusually good AC welding characteristics with easy re-strike.

Welding Techniques: Remove all surface contaminants. Maintain a short arc gap and use a stringer or slight weave technique. Chip slag thoroughly between passes.
