Forney Industries Return Policy

To initiate a return, contact our customer service team. Forney dealers also have the option to work directly with their sales representative.

Unauthorized merchandise or collect freight shipments will not be accepted returned for credit, replacement, or warranty service repairs unless authorized by Forney Industries. Merchandise received without prior authorization may be returned to customer at customer’s expense. Returns for $20 or less will not be accepted by Forney Industries. All returned merchandise must be in saleable condition; no credit will be issued for nonsalable product. Obsolete or discontinued product must not be sent back to Forney Industries [1]. Welding rod, MIG wire, steel and special-order items are not eligible for return. All returns will be assessed a 15% handling/restocking charge except as set forth in the following paragraphs.

Forney Industries has the right to reject any returns received 60 days or more after invoice date. Merchandise received 60 days or more after invoice date may be returned to customer at customer’s expense. Forney Industries Field Personnel are not authorized to pick up any merchandise. All returned goods are to be shipped FREIGHT PRE-PAID (with the exception of warranty issues, approved stock reviews, and Forney Industries mis-shipments) by the customer to the address listed at the end of this policy.

Customers will not be charged restocking fees or freight charges pertaining to warranty issues [2], approved stock reviews, and Forney Industries mis-shipments. Overages, shortages, or defective goods must be reported within two business days after receipt of shipments. Claims for shortage or damaged material caused by carrier must be noted at the time of receipt and filed against carrier responsible. The value of defective material is the limit of liability.

Forney Industries offers an annual stock review which applies to saleable merchandise which has been in the store inventory for one calendar year. A second annual review may be allowed with credit limited to 2% of the dealer's previous year sales. An offsetting order must be placed at the same visit the review is being conducted. The Forney Sales Field Representatives are responsible for packing and labeling merchandise for prepaid returns.

Orders subject to Forney Industries home office approval and correction for prices and extensions. Prices in effect at time of shipment shall apply. Invoices not paid in full within Forney Industries terms will subject the unpaid balance of the account to 1.5% per month charge. Annual percentage rate 18%. Terms FOB, Fort Collins, Colorado.
