Forney® ER308L is an austenitc stainless steel welding wire use to weld base metal of similar composition types such as American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI) 201, 202, 205, 302, 304, 305, 308 and also the low carbon grades. The low carbon reduces carbide precipitation. A tri-mix shielding gas should be used: 90% Helium / 7.5% Argon / 2.5% CO2.
