Forney Frontline™ 25A Smart Battery Charger, Maintainer and Engine Starter
DESCRIPTION
The Forney Frontline™ 25 Smart Battery Charger, Maintainer & Engine Starter is a powerful, multi-mode charging system designed for demanding shop, farm, and fleet environments. Delivering up to 25 amps of charging current and 150 amps of engine-starting output, it quickly restores and maintains batteries in vehicles, equipment, and machinery used on the road, on the water, and in the field.
Compatible with a broad range of supported 6-volt and 12-volt batteries, including traditional lead-acid types—STD: Wet, EFB, MF, Ca, Deep-cycle; AGM; and Gel types—plus LiFePO₄ lithium chemistries, the Frontline™ 25 automatically adjusts its output based on battery condition for safe, efficient charging when used as directed. A dedicated Boost Mode provides short bursts of high current to assist weak or cold engine starts, while Force Charge Mode gives you added control by allowing the charger to begin charging batteries that may fall below normal detection voltage—helping bring deeply discharged batteries back into service when appropriate.
For more advanced service work, Repair Mode is designed to help address sulfation and acid stratification in eligible lead-acid batteries, supporting improved performance and recovery. An integrated 13.6V Power Supply Mode delivers a stable DC output for ECU memory support during battery changes, powering accessories, or running bench diagnostics. In addition, Alternator Test Mode offers a quick, at-a-glance check of basic charging system performance by monitoring system voltage with the engine running, helping identify potential alternator or regulator issues before they become bigger problems.
Built for shop use, the Frontline 25 features a rugged IP20-rated steel housing, heavy-duty 10 AWG DC cables, and a 12 GA power cord designed to stand up to oil, gas, grease, water, chemicals, and abrasion. Built-in protection against reverse polarity, overcharge, short-circuit, spark, overheating, and open-circuit conditions helps ensure safe, worry-free operation.
