DESCRIPTION
The Forney Easy Weld 140 FC-i is a powerful flux-core wire welder. This machine is ideal for do-it-yourselfers (DIY), maintenance, repair, metal fabrication, and hobbyists. Like the other Forney Easy Weld machines, this welder is extremely lightweight (weighing in at only 19 pounds!) and portable. This unit is easy to use and features infinite voltage and wire feed speed control. The Forney Easy Weld 140 FC-i is incredibly convenient, as it does not require gas and can run off standard household power as long as you have at least a 20 AMP breaker.

Flux core beast!

THIS THING IS MIGHTY. I was suspicious at first getting this thing for Christmas, but after putting this thing to work my doubts were shattered. I've used this thing on multiple Jeep and Chevy repairs and upgrades, even a stripped caliper bolt on a Volvo. I have put this welder to work for 2 years with no issues!!! Looking at the price this thing is still a steal years after getting mine! Now I'm ready for a gas machine- but this will remain on the welding cart for the versatility and ability to hook up practically anywhere.

I bought one a few years ago to have at home so I didn’t have to bring my projects or broken equipment to work. I was not expecting much being a 120 volt machine but this little machine has impressed me so much. I have repaired and made countless items. It has plenty of power for most home owners and good wire feed.
2 years and still going strong!

Works great. I've been a welder for decades and when my previous welder quit working in the middle of a project on a Saturday afternoon went and picked this up at Lowes. I was skeptical but it was all they had at the time. That was 2 years ago and it still going strong. Not professional grade but for just around the house it works great.
great little machine

After using this machine for the last 5 or so years, I figure its time to write a review.
Even though this is a 120v machine, it is very capable of handling a large variety of projects. Personally I've used mine to build an Engine Stand, an Engine Hoist, several lamps out of engine parts, etc. Having the ability to use 10 pound spools of FCAW wire allows the user to take on large welding projects without having to change out wire spools as often as you would with the 1 or 2 pound spools. Im a huge fan of being able to control voltage and wire speed on a welding machine such as this one. It definitely allows for you to fine tune your welds for the best possible results. As for life span, I've already passed the 5 year of usage mark and looking forward to many more years of use.
Excellent choice for beginners and artists

Excellent little welder. Bought it to learn welding as a hobbyist/artist and after 6 hours of trial & error I can lay down a pretty good bead. Easy setup and the tech support is outstanding! I can’t say enough about how happy I am with this purchase and the company. Highly recommended!
