DESCRIPTION

The Forney® Easy Weld® 100 FC-i is a compact 120V flux core welder that makes it easy to start welding at home, in the garage, or out in the driveway. With up to 100 amps of output and gasless flux cored (FCAW) welding, you can tackle light repair, fabrication, and hobby projects without the cost or complexity of shielding gas. Designed around Forney® Industries’ 90+ years of welding experience, this beginner-friendly flux core welder for home projects keeps setup simple and portability front and center.

Key features & benefits:

  • Expert tech and American support delivers confidence so you can get fast answers and parts help from Forney’s U.S.-based service network instead of guessing through problems alone.
  • CSA certified performance delivers proven safety and output so you can weld with peace of mind in the shop, garage, or driveway. Our products are CSA certified to meet strict safety and performance standards ensuring reliability and your safety in any work environment.
  • Gasless flux core welder (FCAW) delivers welds without shielding gas so you can work outside, on the farm, or where bottles are inconvenient, with fewer setup steps.
  • 100 amp welding output delivers enough power to weld up to 3/16 in mild steel in a single pass so you can repair brackets, frames, and outdoor projects with confidence.
  • Lightweight 12.6 lb inverter design with carry strap delivers grab-and-go portability so you can bring the welder, leads, and wire to the work instead of dragging material to the bench.
  • 120V single-phase input delivers plug-and-play operation so you can run on standard household power without special wiring.
  • Simple 2-knob interface delivers straightforward voltage and wire feed control so you can dial in settings quickly and focus on improving your welds.
  • Generator-capable operation (4,000 W minimum) delivers flexibility so you can weld where there’s no outlet, as long as you have a properly sized generator meeting the 4,000 W, no low-idle, 5% THD max requirement.
  • Integrated torch and Tweco®-style consumables with toolless 1/4-turn despooler deliver clean electrical conductivity, quick wire changes, and easy access to industry-standard tips, diffusers, and nozzles so you can stay up and running.

These specs mean you can run the Easy Weld® 100 FC-i on a standard 120V household circuit while still getting up to 100 amps of output to weld common mild steel from thin 24 gauge sheet to 3/16 in plate in a single pass. The 30% duty cycle at 90 amps is a solid match for typical DIY weld times, giving you several minutes of arc-on time in each 10-minute window before the machine needs to cool. Its inverter power supply keeps the welder compact and easy to carry, while generator capability (with a properly sized 4,000 W unit) lets you work where permanent power isn’t available. Lead lengths and 4 in spool compatibility help keep your setup flexible without taking over your workspace.

  • Home and garage repairs on lawn equipment, brackets, and small trailers.
  • Building and fixing DIY projects like workbenches, carts, and outdoor furniture.
  • Hobby metal art, small fabrication projects, and practice welds when you’re learning flux core welding.
