DESCRIPTION

Forney® E7018 AC extra low hydrogen, moisture resistant steel electrodes for unalloyed construction steels. Used for joining and repairing boiler plate, pipe steels, ship building steels, and cast steels. Excellent for weathering steels such as Corten. E7018 AC is extremely smooth with spatter and turbulence free arc transfer with a high deposition rate. Exceptional AC welding characteristics with instant re-strike.

Welding Techniques: Remove all surface contaminants. Maintain a short arc gap and use a stringer or slight weave technique. Chip slag thoroughly between passes.
